We had the pleasure of working with Paulina Lewandowska who gave us their time to inform us on the successes and achievements made by the Polish Women’s Division to date.
For Poland’s Women’s team, the goal going into this Championship is to approach every game with passion and determination, playing each point as if it were a universe point. They emphasise strong, hard defense coupled with easy, calm offense, all while implementing the best strategies for each specific team they face. Beyond the tournament itself, the European Ultimate Championships 2023 serves as a crucial test for them before the World Championships, providing an opportunity to refine their skills, build cohesion, and gauge their progress on the international stage.
The Women’s division in Poland is a work in progress, with this spectacle holding the potential to be a transformative moment. With a wealth of talented female players in the country, the team is eager to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience in the competitive women’s division. As they continue to develop and grow, the EUC offers a platform for them to make their mark, turning the tide and shaping the future of women’s ultimate in Poland.
Preparations have been an experience for the Polish Women’s team. Initially, they faced uncertainty as the federation’s focus was primarily on the Mixed division. However, their perseverance paid off, and they secured the opportunity to form the women’s team. With a tryout and clinics that brought together over 60 female athletes, they experienced a surge of enthusiasm and talent. Two training camps in Warsaw and Wroclaw followed, allowing the team to hone their skills, strengthen connections, and develop their game. To further refine their play, they embark on an exciting journey to Windmill, where they will put their training to the test and seek improvement amidst the spirited atmosphere.
This team eagerly looks forward to a vibrant and joyful experience in this sun-drenched city of Sunny, Sunny Limerick. With the Irish weather on their side, they envision days filled with laughter, camaraderie, and beaming smiles. They eagerly anticipate engaging in tough and tightly contested games, fuelled by mutual respect and the spirit of the game. Each moment on the field will be a testament to their passion for ultimate and their determination to leave their mark on the tournament.
